Photography and Filming

The club recognises the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all young people in Basketball. In accordance with the club and Basketball England policy, where possible we will not permit photographs, film, video, or other images of children or to be taken or to be used without the consent of the child and their parents/guardians.
We will follow the guidance for these of photographic and recorded images of children, a copy of which is in the Basketball England Safeguarding Policy. If at any time either the parent/ guardian or the young person wishes their images to be removed from a website or future publications, this should be communicated in writing to the Jo Cullingworth (Club Welfare Officer) OR Rebecca Peebles (Club Secretary).
The club will take all steps to ensure these images are used solely for the purposes they were intended. Where the club has obtained parental and player consent, the club may give permission to the opposition to take images during a game. If you become aware that these are being used inappropriately you should inform the club immediately.

Acceptable use of all Social Media platforms & Internet use

Doncaster junior Eagles Basketball club understands the importance of online communication for children and young people's development. However, we recognise that relevant safeguards need to be put in place to ensure children and young people remain safe while online and using social media.

We ask that all parents / guardian spend a few minutes to read through and discuss this statement with their child before consenting in the photograph section of the online registration form prior to joining the club as a player or participating in any club organised training camps.

I will be responsible for my behaviour when using the Internet and social media at the Sports Club including the content access and how I conduct myself.

I will not deliberately create browser access material that could be considered offensive or illegal. If I accidentally come across any such material, I will report this to a coach, the CWO for the club or Rebecca Peebles the Club Secretary.

I will not use social media or the Internet to send anyone material that could be considered threatening offensive, upsetting, bullying or that is illegal.

I understand that I should only use the club’s official social media or website communication channels to contact them and should not seek out individual members of staff or coaches.

I understand that all use of Internet and social media is potentially visible to everyone and that any issues involving my behaviour online may be addressed by my coach or all the members at the club.

I will not give out any of my personal information (such as name age address or telephone number online) or that for anyone else.

I will not share my passwords with anyone else.

I will not arrange to meet someone that I have met online unless accompanied by a member of
the club or parent(s).

I understand that these rules are designed to keep me safe, and if they are not followed my parents may be contacted.

I will avoid use of my mobile or smartphone usage during activities as I understand that it will have impact on my safety and my opportunity to gain experience and achieve.

I'm aware that if I'm experiencing bullying or bullying online, I can contact my coach or a team manager or the club directly.

I know I can contact ChildLine on oh 800-1111 if I have any worries about something I have not seen or experienced online.
